Own escalated sales tax refund cases involving taxability and buyer exemptions, serving as main contact point.
Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, tax product teams, and finance innovation to investigate tax issues, recommend solutions, and improve tax processes.
Support US Indirect Tax Team with audit preparation, data analysis, monthly tax data patch reviews, ad-hoc technical tax research, and special projects.
Minimum Requirements
1-3 years of related corporate finance and/or accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with emphasis in Finance, Information Systems, or Accounting.
Knowledge of U.S. sales & use taxes, Canadian GST, and other global VAT systems is required.
Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite; experience with tax research tools; familiarity with Vertex or other tax engines is a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience working independently within a global tax team environment handling complex taxability and exemption issues.
Strong analytical capabilities with data wrangling and tax technical research to support audits and process improvements.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and collaborate across multiple teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
