Software Development Engineer II

Own critical Expedia Group Accelerator platform services end-to-end, ensuring data integrity and production readiness.

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable services and APIs, contributing across software development lifecycle including deployment and monitoring.

Integrate AI/ML capabilities to simplify partner workflows and drive advertising growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

2+ years of professional experience in software development.

Proficient in object-oriented and functional programming languages such as Kotlin or Java; experienced with data structures, algorithms, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and observability.

Experience in designing and implementing service or API-based solutions, including system design and data modeling, and working in agile environments owning features from design through production support.

Experienced engineer skilled at designing and evolving scalable service architectures with focus on reliability and performance.

Comfortable operating systems at scale with monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continuous reliability improvement.

Practitioner of data-driven engineering decisions and modern software engineering practices including AI/ML integration in production services.
