Provide regional leadership and coordination for product safety, regulatory compliance, and hazard communication across India, South Asia, and assigned Rest of Asia markets for Ashland’s Life Sciences, Personal Care, and Specialty Additives portfolios.
Own customer regulatory support including coordinating responses to inquiries, maintaining regulatory documentation, and supporting market access, registrations, and compliance assessments.
Monitor and communicate regulatory changes, manage risk assessments, and lead product stewardship and hazard communication activities to ensure market access and business continuity.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, toxicology, biology, food science, chemical engineering or related scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Typically 10+ years progressive experience in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, quality, technical service or compliance within pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical excipients, APIs, specialty chemicals, food/nutrition, personal care or regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of India regulatory requirements and practical exposure to South Asia and Rest of Asia regulatory frameworks relevant to life sciences ingredients and specialty additives.
This is a full-time onsite position based in Mumbai. Work Experience Required: Approximately 10+ years in relevant fields.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced operating in a matrix regional organization handling complex regulatory and product stewardship responsibilities with limited supervision.
Demonstrated ability to convert complex regulatory data into practical, commercially relevant recommendations across cross-functional teams including sales, supply chain, quality, and leadership.
Strong background in regulatory intelligence, product compliance, customer support responsiveness, and hazard communication for pharmaceutical excipients, APIs, or related specialty chemicals across India, South Asia and selected Rest of Asia markets.
