Architect and build system software for high-performance Ethernet switching platforms owning design decisions end-to-end across hardware-software integration.
Lead architecture and delivery within JunOS or Junos Evolved, defining interfaces between hardware and software components and implementing solutions.
Partner with test and support teams to set quality and performance standards, perform root cause analysis on production issues, and drive platform hardening.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related discipline (Master’s desirable).
4-10 years of relevant work experience.
Deep expertise with low-level systems including device drivers, board/system bring-up, and FreeBSD/Linux internals.
Strong systems debugging skills and proficiency in C/C++, with knowledge of networking fundamentals and hardware/firmware integration (PCIe, SPI, I2C, FPGA/CPLD).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in system software development specifically for networking products like platforms, routers, or switches is a plus.
Capable of applying AI-assisted engineering tools consistently across system design lifecycle to improve speed and quality.
Detail-oriented with ability to document technical decisions clearly using lightweight design artifacts to align and iterate quickly with teams.
