Job Description
Structured overview of role & requirementsAbout This Role
Own and enhance the high-performance network data plane systems responsible for packet processing, protocol parsing, metadata extraction, and reliable data delivery at production scale.
Improve scalable network data-path architecture on Linux, handling packet ingestion, traffic steering, parser execution, and downstream delivery across multiple protocols and high throughput.
Build and maintain end-to-end validation frameworks, troubleshoot complex performance and reliability issues, and contribute to design reviews and engineering standards for network data-plane development.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years professional software engineering experience.
5+ years production C++ experience in systems, infrastructure, or networking environments.
Proficiency with Rust or demonstrated ability to build production-quality memory-safe systems.
Strong Python skills and experience developing/debugging on Debian-based or similar Linux environments.
Hands-on protocol experience with packet capture tools and implementing parsing/serialization logic.
Experience with data-path technologies such as DPDK, XDP/AF_XDP, or equivalent kernel bypass networking systems.
Education: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A systems engineer with deep expertise in Linux networking internals, performance tuning, concurrency, and memory management in high-throughput packet processing environments.
Experienced in building robust, maintainable, and performant network data-plane or telemetry systems with strong validation, testing, and operational reliability.
Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate complex system design, testing, and code review in distributed team settings.
