Principal, Software Engineer

Design, build, and operate distributed cloud-native platform services and APIs using Java and Python, including Kubernetes infrastructure.

Own platform reliability, scalability, observability, and operational excellence practices including incident response and SLO management.

Guide architecture and system design decisions for microservices and data platforms; set technical direction and engineering standards across multiple teams.

12+ years professional software engineering experience with large-scale distributed platforms.

Strong proficiency in Java and Python; experience with Spark and cloud-native engineering practices (Kubernetes, CI/CD) required.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience Required: 12+ years; Location: Chennai office with work-from-office requirement mentioned.

Experienced Principal-level engineer comfortable with technical ownership in a 0-to-1 platform environment with high autonomy.

Deep knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and platform engineering with operational ownership.

Hands-on with AI/ML platform integration, Big Data technologies, and reliability engineering embedding SLOs and incident management.
