Staff Software Engineer, Tech Foundations

Lead design and development of an AI-driven growth platform to expand Airbnb's supply by providing sales insights and building lead funnels.

Collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders (technical, business, product, design) to identify, scope, and deliver key initiatives.

Mentor engineers, maintain technical quality from design through production, and guide teams across engineering boundaries for scalable solutions.

10+ years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment.

Strong proficiency in at least one major backend language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python) and experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

Proven experience delivering end-to-end products from ideation to launch in collaborative environments.

Work Experience Required: 10+ years

Experienced in designing large-scale web application architectures including APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms.

Able to make data-driven technical decisions balancing short-term and long-term tradeoffs while communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong focus on integrating backend systems with user experience and building AI-driven applications with impact on growth and supply expansion.
