Own and deliver the observability roadmap for Services Technology, focusing on scalable telemetry solutions and End-to-End payment monitoring dashboards (Project Orion).
Collaborate with SREs, developers, and platform teams to embed telemetry, implement SLOs, reduce operational TOIL, and build actionable visualizations for critical payment flows.
Act as liaison between line-of-business teams and central infrastructure/CTO groups to prioritize observability needs, influence platform improvements, and support AI/ML integration for monitoring enhancements.
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of experience in SRE, Observability Engineering, or platform infrastructure roles with focus on operational telemetry.
Hands-on expertise with observability tools/stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Splunk or similar.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, hybrid platform integration (on-prem, cloud, containers).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in delivering observability solutions specifically for critical payment systems (ACH, Wires, Instant Payments) and scaling best practices across multiple business domains.
Skilled at translating organizational strategy into executable engineering roadmaps delivering measurable improvements in monitoring and incident management.
Able to operate across federated engineering teams and central infrastructure groups, with strong technical credibility and influence to drive platform enhancements and AI adoption.
