Develop end-to-end diagnostic content for automotive systems including engine management, electric & hybrid systems, brakes, infotainment, ADAS, and more.
Perform analysis of vehicle communication bus logs, simulate automotive systems, and validate diagnostic content on vehicles with test report creation.
Engage in benchmarking, reverse engineering, and coverage evaluation of aftermarket diagnostic testers; collaborate closely with software engineering and global technical teams; travel to dealerships/workshops as needed for on-vehicle testing.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in automotive aftersales vehicle service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, preferably in OEM dealerships/workshops.
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in automotive diagnostic content development.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and sub-systems, capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting to restore roadworthiness.
Proficient with diagnostic testers (e.g., VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, Zenith) and analytical/simulation tools like Vector or Samtec HSX, HS+.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in interpreting OEM system descriptions, service & repair manuals to create and review diagnostic content independently.
Skilled in handling complex automotive diagnostic testers and evaluating aftermarket diagnostic tool coverage across varied vehicle brands and systems.
Technically proficient with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, J1939), Bosch ESI[tronic], BDX data extension, and workflow/test sequence design using IDEs such as BDX or Grade-X.
