Engineer – Software Test

Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for Residential HVAC Digital software, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability.

Perform basic security and vulnerability testing, support penetration testing, and participate in threat analysis and security reviews.

Collaborate with engineering, product teams, and stakeholders in agile ceremonies to identify defects, communicate risks, and improve quality assurance processes.

2-4 years of software testing experience, preferably in security testing for embedded controls and applications.

Proficient in Python scripting for automation and experience with embedded systems testing.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiar with Software Test Life Cycle and test methodologies.

Onsite work required (5 days); HVAC domain knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.

Experienced with both manual and automated testing of embedded UI controls and APIs, focusing on reliability across platforms and devices.

Able to participate effectively in agile teams and cross-functional collaboration, including proactive communication on security risks and defects.

Possesses basic cybersecurity knowledge and hands-on familiarity with security tools and scripting for vulnerability assessments.
