Job Description
Structured overview of role & requirementsAbout This Role
Implement and develop numerical methods for multi-phase and multiscale simulations focused on fluid and solid dynamics.
Solve 2D/3D multiphysics PDE models using advanced numerical techniques and Python programming.
Parameterize and validate models using optimization and multivariate statistics; collaborate with international research teams on development tasks.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of experience in numerical modeling and simulations for multiphysics phenomena.
Strong expertise in advanced numerical methods such as Finite Element, Finite Volume, Finite Difference, Discontinuous Galerkin, Meshless methods, and Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian methods.
Excellent coding skills in Python and C++ including deep understanding of object-oriented programming and version control tools like Git.
MS/M.Tech or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field from top institutes (IITs, IISc or equivalent).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of numerical methods beyond usage of commercial simulation tools.
Experience writing solver codes and numerical simulations from scratch rather than using prebuilt solvers with python mainly for pre/post-processing.
Comfortable working in international and collaborative research environments.
Has demonstrated skills in parameterizing and validating multiphysics models using data-driven approaches combined with physics-based methods.
