Software Engineer III - Automation Test Engineer + Mainframe

Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for core banking mainframe applications, focusing on automation and performance testing.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure production stability, identify optimization opportunities, and support scalability and reliability of banking services.

Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, test automation, and productivity, while managing technical troubleshooting and performance analysis.

3+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.

Hands-on experience in mainframe manual testing and operational stability.

Strong knowledge and practical experience in performance testing, including test planning and load modeling.

Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

Experienced in complex legacy mainframe platforms, preferably with knowledge of zSeries Mainframe, IBM MQ, or BMC MainView.

Ability to understand client behavior and application dependencies across multiple tech stacks to build effective load models and performance tests.

Familiar with software development life cycle practices including agile methodologies like CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
