Provide technical leadership and expertise for Oracle and PostgreSQL database platforms across enterprise product engineering, SaaS operations, cloud transformation, and modernization programs.
Lead database architecture, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and guide Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations and cloud/database modernization initiatives, especially on Microsoft Azure.
Develop automation frameworks for database operations, mentor DB administrators and engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure database reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years total database administration experience with at least 5+ years in Oracle and 3+ years in PostgreSQL administration.
Expert level skills in Oracle Database Administration and strong PostgreSQL administration capabilities including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with database architecture, backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and automation using Shell and Batch scripting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Senior individual contributor with technical leadership demonstrated in large-scale, mission-critical enterprise or SaaS database environments.
Strong expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases with solid experience in cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure) database platforms and migrations.
Proven ability to lead complex database modernization and automation initiatives, collaborate across engineering and operations teams, and mentor technical staff.
