Forward Deployed Engineer

Own the end-to-end technical success of one of Razorpay's most strategic merchants, from understanding requirements to delivering production-ready solutions.

Build and ship custom payment flows, SDK integrations, and orchestration logic using Razorpay's platform and internal AI agents to accelerate development.

Regularly communicate progress and issues to the merchant and feed recurring solutions back to product teams to improve the overall platform.

SDE2+ level engineer with 4+ years of software development experience (exceptional candidates with less experience considered).

Strong hands-on coding skills in Python plus one of Java, Go, or TypeScript, producing production-grade code (not prototypes).

Experience with systems, APIs, webhooks, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP); familiarity with payments flows is a strong plus.

Fluency in using AI coding tools and agents regularly to significantly boost engineering output.

Experienced owner of end-to-end technical projects, especially with direct customer or merchant interaction and problem framing under ambiguity.

Comfortable navigating vague or evolving specifications and driving solutions independently without needing detailed instructions.

Skilled communicator able to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and maintain ongoing alignment with merchant teams.
