Deliver socio-economic baseline chapters and impact assessments for major infrastructure, energy, mining, and transition projects to support consent and social licence processes.
Support economic appraisal and social value analysis to strengthen client business cases and meet lender and regulator requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regional consultants globally to integrate socio-economic evidence into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and project documentation.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in economics, human geography, sociology, planning, public policy, development studies or related social science; master's degree desirable.
1–2 years' relevant experience in consulting, research, policy or related field with socio-economic analysis or impact assessment experience.
Working understanding of UK/Irish EIA, consenting regimes, and/or international standards such as IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles.
Experience using socio-economic datasets and tools (e.g., Census, ONS/NRS/NISRA/CSO data, Nomis) and comfort with quantitative analysis and Excel.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in preparing socio-economic assessments within Energy, Infrastructure, or Extractives sectors aligned with UK/Irish and international regulatory frameworks.
Capable of translating complex socio-economic data into clear, evidence-based technical reports and client-ready outputs.
Able to coordinate across multi-disciplinary, global teams and deliver consistent, high-quality socio-economic inputs within a structured consulting environment.
