Staff AI Engineer

Design, build, and improve AI systems for healthcare workflows covering documentation, coding, denial management, appeals, and revenue cycle automation.

Own end-to-end outcomes including system design, failure inspection, improvement, deployment, and evaluation proving real business impact.

Lead multiple projects technically and mentor engineers; collaborate with cross-functional teams on model selection, training, and productionalization.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field or equivalent experience.

5-10 years experience in applied research, ML engineering, research engineering, software engineering, or applied AI.

Proven track record of shipping and operating production AI systems, ideally in complex or high-stakes domains.

Master's or PhD and healthcare or RCM experience are beneficial but not mandatory.

Experienced applied AI engineer comfortable working with ambiguous, real-world data in regulated or complex domains like healthcare or revenue cycle.

Technical leader capable of setting direction, designing rigorous evaluation frameworks, and improving production AI agents with measurable outcomes.

Balances applied research rigor with software engineering discipline to bridge frontier AI capabilities into reliable production systems.
