Own end-to-end diagnostic content creation and specification for automotive aftermarket diagnostic tester software across multiple vehicle systems including engine, hybrid, ADAS, transmission, and airbags.
Analyze vehicle communication bus logs, simulate automotive systems, design test workflows, and validate diagnostic content on vehicles through on-site dealership visits.
Benchmark aftermarket diagnostic testers, evaluate coverage across brands and markets, and collaborate closely with global software engineering and technical teams.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in automotive aftersales vehicle service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting preferably at OEM dealerships/workshops.
Minimum 2 years experience in automotive diagnostic content development.
Strong vehicle systems knowledge with proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service vehicles using diagnostic testers like VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, etc.
Mandatory technical knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, J1939 protocols and experience with Bosch Aftermarket Diagnostic Tool - ESI [tronic].
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in working independently with various OEM diagnostic testers and able to interpret OE system descriptions, service, and repair manuals.
Skilled in analyzing communication bus data using tools such as Vector or Samtec analyzers and simulators for automotive diagnostics.
Capable of bridging field diagnostic expertise with software engineering teams to optimize diagnostic tester software and content.
