Develop and maintain end-to-end diagnostic content for automotive systems across multiple domains such as engine management, electric & hybrid systems, ADAS, transmission, HVAC, and airbags.
Perform diagnostic data analysis, benchmarking, reverse engineering, and validation of diagnostic testers for aftermarket and aftersales use, including on-vehicle testing and report creation.
Collaborate closely with software engineering and global technical teams; conduct field visits to workshops/OE dealerships for testing and diagnostics as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in aftersales vehicle service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, preferably in OEM dealerships/workshops.
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in automotive diagnostic content development.
Strong vehicle system knowledge including sub-systems; proficiency with diagnostic testers like VIDA, Xentry, GDS, ADT, SDT-II, DiagBox, HDS, Launch, Autel, G-Scan, Zenith, and Bosch ESI [tronic].
Knowledge of communication protocols CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, UDS, J1939 and familiarity with tools like BDX-Bosch Data Extension and analyzers/simulators from Vector or Samtec.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in interpreting OE system descriptions, service and repair manuals with ability to independently manage diagnostic testers in complex automotive environments.
Skilled at analyzing vehicle communication bus logs and transforming OE diagnostic data into actionable insights for aftermarket diagnostic solutions.
Familiar with diagnostic workflow design using IDEs such as BDX or Grade-X and capable of executing benchmarking and reverse engineering of diagnostic testers across multiple vehicle brands and markets.
