Lead and grow a team of 5-6 direct reports and influence 15-20 engineers to develop software for building management and controls using Java, .NET, Kafka, and Angular.
Own end-to-end delivery of product roadmaps, sprint execution, risk, and dependency management while guiding architecture and design of microservices and Kafka pipelines.
Drive integration with building automation protocols and IoT gateways ensuring system quality, security, and reliability interacting with physical infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
10+ years total software engineering experience with 3+ years managing engineering teams.
Experience managing or leading teams of 15-20 engineers, including via leads or managers.
Proficient in Java (Spring Boot) and .NET (C# ASP.NET Core), with strong Apache Kafka skills and working knowledge of Angular.
Domain experience in building management systems (BMS/BAS), building controls, or IoT/industrial automation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced leader comfortable coaching and retaining engineering talent in mid-sized distributed teams working across time zones.
Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in Java, .NET, Kafka, microservices, and front-end frameworks aligned with industrial or building automation domains.
Skilled at aligning cross-functional global teams and reporting engineering/delivery metrics to senior leadership for complex projects.
