Software Engineering Manager(Backend)

Lead and define technical direction and architecture for cross-cutting backend products and platform capabilities.

Manage, develop, and grow a high-performing backend engineering team, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with engineering, product, and stakeholders to execute scalable backend platform strategies using modern cloud and distributed technologies.

10+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant leadership experience.

Strong Java backend development skills (Java 17 or 21) and hands-on experience with Kafka, Spring Boot, Quarkus, AWS, SQL/NoSQL databases.

Legal authorization to work in India with willingness to work from or relocate to Pune, India.

Experience managing engineering teams in complex or regulated environments such as fintech.

Experienced engineering leader capable of managing multiple teams and balancing strategic platform decisions with hands-on technical involvement.

Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders at scale.

Strong ownership and decision-making mindset focused on scalable, reliable backend architectures in cloud and distributed system environments.
