Staff Software Engineer (L4)

Lead design, development, and maintenance of high-performance backend services for a large-scale real-time routing platform.

Define and own the technical direction and architecture for business-critical services on AWS, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost.

Drive engineering excellence through mentorship, design/code reviews, operational excellence, and cross-team collaboration.

8+ years of professional experience in backend software development using Java, Golang, Python, Scala, or similar.

Proven expertise in fault-tolerant distributed systems, event-driven architectures, databases, and high-scale backend engineering.

Experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, with strong skills in API design and production CI/CD.

Location: Must be based in India; remote allowed for candidates in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or New Delhi.

Experienced backend engineer capable of solving ambiguous, large-scale systems problems and shaping technology strategy.

Strong technical leadership skills influencing architecture and operational practices across multiple teams and quarters.

Comfortable working in a fast-evolving environment, balancing tradeoffs between reliability, cost, and delivery speed.
