Lead and build an embedded unit within the Maharashtra Ministry of Agriculture focused on AI for agriculture, evidence-based policy support, and digital technology scaling to improve smallholder farmer livelihoods.
Manage multi-stakeholder government and partner relationships, including serving as the primary government contact and overseeing funder and partner engagements and compliance.
Own end-to-end program delivery including planning, execution, team leadership, monitoring, and driving evidence generation and operational improvements.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree or equivalent in Public Policy, Economics, Agriculture, Development Studies, Engineering, Management, Data Science, or relevant field.
7–10 years of progressive experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs involving government agencies and external partners.
Existing authorization to work in India; no visa sponsorship is available.
Experience with AI and digital technologies applied in agriculture or related government programs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in launching and leading new government-embedded programs or teams in complex, ambiguous environments with limited existing infrastructure.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional teams including policy, technical, and research staff with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Comfortable translating technical data and evidence into actionable, non-technical government policy recommendations and operational decisions.
