Senior Software Engineer

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, fast software systems on the Appian platform incorporating AI tools and integrations.

Lead architectural decisions, enforce code quality and standards, and own end-to-end feature development from analysis through deployment.

Provide technical leadership including mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and creating developer enablement tooling.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in Java or similar languages.

Experience building and scaling distributed, cloud-native systems; familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience integrating AI/ML features and leading technical initiatives or small project teams.

Strong system design and architecture skills focused on scalable, secure cloud-native applications using microservices or serverless frameworks.

Experience with AI tool and model integrations (e.g. Amazon Q, Kiro, Claude) applied to enterprise software workflows.

Ability to align technical decisions with business strategy and proactively solve complex production and performance issues.
