Senior Accountant

Lead and manage accounting operations within Global Business Solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in daily cash accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing for Mastercard entities worldwide.

Prepare and review General Ledger reconciliations, journal entries, cash and sub-ledger transactions, foreign exchange analysis, and variance analysis to support financial reporting.

Collaborate with international stakeholders on audits (including SOX), process improvements, risk mitigation, and drive automation initiatives using AI to enhance operational efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is mandatory; CA, CA Inter, MBA, or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years specifically in Cash accounting.

Proficiency in Oracle financial systems is required.

Strong knowledge of accounting operations including GL management, reconciliations, and month-end close processes; working knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and statutory reporting required.

Experienced mid-senior level accountant with hands-on expertise in cash accounting, reconciliations, and global financial operations.

Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams, managing audits, and driving process improvements including automation and AI integration.

Analytically strong with ability to troubleshoot complex accounting issues and communicate effectively across business partners.
