Lead Engineer- Databricks & Data Engg

Lead daily sprint planning, task assignment, and progress tracking for a hybrid engineering pod working on Databricks data pipelines.

Design and build complex Databricks pipelines (Bronze to Gold) for financial and operational data with accountability for technical quality, code review, and data security.

Serve as technical liaison between onshore and offshore teams, managing backlog translation, risk escalation, and knowledge transfer of integration patterns (Boomi).

8+ years in data engineering with strong hands-on Databricks experience including Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows.

Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional required (Associate accepted if Professional certification is in progress).

Experience building data pipelines from financial or ERP source systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE).

Prior experience in hybrid onshore/offshore delivery model, including agile leadership duties (sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups).

Experienced technical leader able to operate in ambiguity, clarify requirements early, and maintain steady delivery pace.

Strong background integrating operational and financial data within asset-heavy industries such as construction, EPC, or energy.

Proven ability to lead offshore pods in agile environments, effectively communicating across time zones and cultures, and managing escalations proactively.
