Software Engineer III - Java, Spring boot, Public cloud

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, stable, scalable software solutions in an agile environment supporting business functions.

Create and maintain production code with adherence to design constraints and system architecture for complex applications.

Analyze large diverse data sets for continuous improvement of applications; contribute to adoption of AI-assisted development tools to enhance code quality and delivery speed.

3+ years of applied experience with formal software engineering training or certification.

Proficiency in coding with experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices/RESTful APIs, relational/NoSQL databases, data streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark), and dependency injection (Spring/Spring Boot).

Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools; ability to validate AI-generated outputs for performance, security, and correctness.

Experienced in and capable of applying AI-assisted software development within secure engineering workflows and guiding peers on responsible AI use.

Comfortable working in complex distributed/cloud environments with microservices and data streaming technologies.

Likely holds or is pursuing cloud certification and has practical cloud native experience; familiarity with financial services IT systems is a plus.
