Own end-to-end analysis and governance tooling development for data models across TiDB and Aurora, including production rollout and steady-state operations.
Drive data model optimization and production data management tasks such as deletion policies, attribute transformations, and heavy aggregation offloading to Snowflake with reverse-ETL into Aurora.
Create and maintain lineage diagrams, runbooks, ADRs, and documentation to enable safe, evidence-based reshaping of a large running data system and faster future projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, information engineering, or related quantitative/information field.
5+ years professional experience in backend or data engineering with at least 3-5 years backend development experience.
Proficiency in advanced SQL, relational data modeling, operating and tuning MySQL-compatible RDBMS (Aurora MySQL, TiDB).
Professional AWS experience focused on Aurora/RDS, S3, IAM, networking.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in safe, evidence-driven reshaping of large-scale, under-documented data platforms with strong operational ownership.
Demonstrated skill in measuring and documenting data lineage, running production benchmarking and optimization tools, and building governance toolsets improving data reliability and usage.
Background in collaboration with business/product teams for impactful data model changes and with vendor specialists for complex database/warehouse operations.
