Lead design and commercial structuring of financial products for smallholder farmers, agricultural MSMEs, and climate-vulnerable communities, including credit guarantees and risk-sharing instruments.
Manage end-to-end partnerships with financial service providers (MFIs, fintechs, small finance banks, NBFCs) from outreach through MoU execution and pilot implementation.
Support donor and commercial fundraising efforts for climate and agriculture finance initiatives through concept notes, proposals, and partner engagement.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree (or Bachelor's with equivalent experience) in agricultural economics, finance, business, development studies, or related field.
10+ years professional experience with at least 6 years in financial services partnerships, origination, or business development; minimum 2 years at manager level or equivalent.
Experience with agriculture sector as primary focus and established network across MFIs, fintechs, small finance banks, and NBFCs in India.
Right to work in India; willingness to work hybrid in Mumbai with up to 30% travel requirement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in financial product design for agriculture and MSMEs, with strong knowledge of credit, risk-sharing, and guarantee structures to guide commercial decisions.
Proven ability to develop and manage sustained partnerships with diverse financial institutions in India’s agriculture and climate finance sectors.
Skilled in engaging cross-cultural teams and stakeholders across India, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia with a strategic focus on scalable, impact-driven financial inclusion solutions.
