Design, develop, and troubleshoot software components across products and systems within JPMorgan Chase’s Payments Technology team.
Write secure, high-quality code using Java and related technologies, leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Contribute to the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on secure, stable, and scalable enterprise applications, including use of AWS and Terraform for deployment automation.
Minimum Requirements
2+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, debugging, and operational stability in a corporate environment.
Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 17+) and database querying languages with experience in at least one relational database system (Oracle or PostgreSQL preferred).
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced full stack Java developer with strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Familiarity with developing and deploying microservices on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Elastic Container Service (ECS), and EC2 instances.
Proficient in writing Terraform scripts for deployment in AWS production environments and comfortable working within large corporate tech teams.
