Own the sourcing strategy and annual sourcing plan for specified categories across Africa, Middle East, and India, aiming to improve safety, quality, reliability, on-time delivery, competitiveness, and reduce supply risks.
Manage supplier market analysis, negotiate frame contracts for key suppliers, and develop strategic supplier relationships to enable cost reduction and innovation.
Lead and support a team of Category Managers to execute category plans aligned with business objectives while driving continuous improvement and reporting procurement performance.
Minimum Requirements
University degree or higher in Business, Science, or Engineering.
At least 7 years of procurement experience with specific expertise in strategic sourcing of the relevant category.
Familiarity with chemical engineering processes, onshore and offshore equipment purchase.
Must-have skills include Category & Sourcing Strategy, Market Expertise, Supplier Selection & Relationship, Negotiations & Contract Knowledge, Performance & Process Management (Data, KPI & Digital Tools), and Project Management.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in managing strategic sourcing initiatives at a regional level (Africa, Middle East, India) with multi-stakeholder coordination.
Strong capability in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation for complex technical categories related to chemical engineering and equipment.
Analytical and strategic thinker capable of aligning sourcing strategies with business objectives and driving measurable cost reductions through TCO and supplier innovation strategies.
