Own end-to-end Looker BI platform setup, administration, and governance on top of BigQuery data warehouse.
Develop and manage LookML semantic layers, business dashboards, access controls, and performance tuning to optimize cost and response times.
Operate GCP data engineering tasks including BigQuery optimization, pipeline orchestration with Airflow/Cloud Composer, and monitoring data freshness and costs.
Minimum Requirements
2+ years hands-on Looker experience in production with demonstrable LookML ownership (views, explores, measures, PDTs, access grants).
Experience administering Looker instances: managing connections, users, roles, content governance, and System Activity analysis.
Strong SQL skills with at least 1 year on BigQuery including partitioning, clustering, cost analysis, and query tuning.
Working knowledge of GCP orchestration stack such as Airflow/Cloud Composer and at least one of Data Stream, Dataflow, or Pub/Sub.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidate strong in Looker development and administration, prioritized over BigQuery skills per client requirements.
Capable of direct client engagement including requirement gathering, demos, and adoption follow-up with senior stakeholders.
Experience delivering tangible adoption outcomes and cost/performance optimizations in enterprise BI environments.
