Engineering Manager - India

Lead and support engineering teams including people management, performance oversight, and development planning.

Manage software delivery by collaborating with product and engineering to monitor capacity, remove blockers, and improve predictability without excessive process.

Spend 20-40% of time hands-on coding and contributing directly to production software, tools, prototypes, and technical improvements ensuring technical credibility.

At least 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience with recent practical development involvement.

Proven experience managing software engineers in a growing technology organisation.

Familiarity with PHP and Laravel or comparable backend frameworks and willingness to work in that environment.

Must be India-based and eligible to work in India; remote-first role with working hours IST 1:30pm-10pm.

Experienced engineer who balances hands-on coding with leadership and management responsibilities in a scalable tech environment.

Able to deliver pragmatic process improvements that increase team effectiveness without bureaucracy.

Comfortable and credible technical leader coaching engineers and maintaining involvement in the codebase within a remote-first setup.
