Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes primarily using Azure Databricks and associated data stack components.
Implement data models and architectures to support analytics, reporting, and ensure data quality, governance, accuracy, and security.
Collaborate with teams to deliver timely code and documentation, while monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows for reliability and performance.
Minimum Requirements
7+ years of professional experience as a data engineer, with at least 4 years working with cloud technologies.
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure Data Stack including Databricks, Data Lake Gen2, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with Scala or Java is also required.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience; relevant cloud certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced with building scalable data engineering solutions particularly on Azure cloud using Databricks and related tools.
Capable of independently managing end-to-end development, deployment (including CICD), testing, and documentation for data engineering projects.
Has strong data modeling, warehousing, and governance expertise, comfortable working with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and integrating analytic/reporting tools.
