Expert Systems Engineer

Lead complex Citrix logon performance investigations to identify and eliminate root causes across multiple logon phases using advanced diagnostic tools and AI-assisted analysis.

Develop and maintain diagnostic methodologies, playbooks, and best practice libraries for GPO configurations and Citrix session optimization applied across a broad customer base.

Mentor and elevate the technical skills of junior systems engineers while producing operational runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), including complex multi-site deployments and performance tuning.

Expert-level knowledge of the Citrix logon process with ability to analyze all logon phases and interpret key VDA and client-side metrics (e.g., SSCD, SCCD, NRWD, LPWD, GPVD).

Strong expertise in Windows Group Policy (GPO) design, troubleshooting, and optimization in Citrix VDA environments.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools including Citrix Director, Wireshark, Power BI dashboards, Azure Log Analytics, and scripting in PowerShell and/or Python.

Deep specialist in Citrix logon performance with in-depth operational experience performing root cause analysis in enterprise-scale environments.

Operating style centered on data-driven investigation integrating multiple telemetry sources and AI tools to produce actionable systemic improvements.

Experience mentoring engineers and developing repeatable diagnostic frameworks for complex IT infrastructure and application delivery environments.
