Own end-to-end design and delivery of production ML systems impacting audience targeting, advertising revenue, user engagement, and retention across Warner Bros. Discovery’s global brands.
Lead technical execution on key ML products such as probabilistic identity resolution, lookalike modeling, single-title affinity, and forecasting, including building scalable pipelines on Databricks and integrating with Snowflake and activation systems.
Mentor junior engineers (MLE 2s), collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure MLOps best practices including model versioning, monitoring, retraining, and cost optimization.
Minimum Requirements
5-8 years of industry experience in ML engineering or applied data science (3+ years post-PhD if applicable).
Strong proficiency in Python, Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Workflows/DLT, MLflow), Snowflake/SQL, and AWS ML services (SageMaker, S3, Lambda).
Experience deploying ML models at scale (millions+ users/records) with strong software engineering skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building and owning complex ML infrastructure and systems end-to-end, especially in audience modeling, identity resolution, and production ML pipelines.
Comfortable working with large-scale data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and implementing MLOps best practices in a collaborative product-driven environment.
Prior exposure to media/streaming/ad-tech use cases such as recommendation systems, personalization, probabilistic identity resolution, or causal inference modeling.
