Staff Software Engineer

Design and ship AI-native IT service management features that enable agentic behavior such as intent interpretation, multi-step reasoning, tool invocation, and autonomous action across incident and request lifecycles.

Define and maintain AI-driven autonomous workflows with structural decision points for autonomy versus human intervention, and author engineering artifacts governing agent behavior under version control and review.

Own production quality, safety, and reliability including monitoring conversation quality, handling hallucinations, prompt injections, and operational feedback loops, plus lead root-cause analysis for agentic behavior deviations.

9+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a proven track record of building and operating production AI-native software.

Direct experience authoring agentic instructions, designing AI-driven autonomous workflows, and building robust evaluation/testing for non-deterministic AI behavior (required, not preferred).

Proficiency integrating large language model APIs with features like agent orchestration, tool/function calling, and structured output enforcement.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Proven domain ownership of complex software systems end-to-end including architecture, migrations, and operational stability in production environments.

Strong engineering fundamentals including front-end and back-end development, data modeling, API design, and applied machine learning literacy to debug and verify model-driven systems.

Experience with IT service management domain or platforms (e.g., ServiceNow), evaluation and observability tooling for AI, and demonstrated ability to mentor and lead less-experienced engineers.
