Own end-to-end administration and lifecycle management of Windows Server estate and associated on-premises infrastructure including hardware, virtualization (VMware, Nutanix), storage (Dell Isilon, SAN/NAS), and Active Directory domain services.
Manage recurring patching cycles, vulnerability remediation, and enforce strict change control with pre- and post-change validation for critical infrastructure.
Administer hybrid cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure IaaS) integrating with on-premises systems; provide 2nd/3rd level support, shift handovers, and mentor junior engineers in a shift-based team in Navi Mumbai.
Minimum Requirements
7+ years experience in systems engineering or administration with significant hands-on responsibility for Windows Server production environments.
Demonstrated expertise in Active Directory administration, including forest/domain structure, FSMO roles, replication, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, and domain lifecycle activities.
Hands-on administration experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix HCI, Dell Isilon/PowerScale storage, AWS and Azure IaaS workloads, and patching cycles incorporating vulnerability management.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering or related field, professional English proficiency, and shift work experience required; certifications (e.g. Microsoft, VMware) and ITIL 4 Foundation preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced systems engineer with deep expertise in complex Windows Server and Active Directory domain environments and ability to manage multi-technology infrastructure stacks spanning on-premises and cloud.
Proficient in operating within formal change management processes while ensuring security, performance, and availability; capable of root cause analysis across virtualization, storage, cloud, and directory services.
Skilled in automation via PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code, comfortable working in shift-based environments with structured handovers, and able to mentor less experienced peers effectively.
