Own and manage the full lifecycle and operational integrity of a global Linux server estate across on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure), ensuring build, hardening, patching, and compliance to defined standards.
Develop, maintain, and operate Ansible automation for provisioning, patching, and configuration management, with comprehensive change control, validation, and rollback capabilities.
Provide second and third-level support, technical leadership, and mentoring within a shift-based multidisciplinary infrastructure team supporting global Linux users and application teams.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of hands-on Linux systems engineering/administration experience with substantial responsibility for production Linux estates.
Advanced administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or comparable distributions, including automation using Ansible at scale, cloud Linux (AWS/Azure), patching cycles, vulnerability remediation, and application platform support.
Experience working within shift-based support teams with formal change management processes, global coordination, and documented handovers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in maintaining parity and operational standards between on-premises and cloud Linux environments with automation as code discipline.
Skilled at troubleshooting root cause across infrastructure stacks (OS, storage, network, application) with strong capacity and cost management focus.
Demonstrates technical leadership through documentation, mentoring, root cause ownership, and effective communication with global teams and stakeholders.
