Own end-to-end management of the global Linux server estate across on-premises and cloud (AWS, Azure), ensuring build, hardening, patching, and compliance.
Automate provisioning, patching, configuration drift remediation, and application deployment using Ansible Automation Platform and scripting, maintaining version-controlled automation code with promotion paths.
Lead recurring global patching cycles with validation, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery testing, and provide second/third level support and technical leadership in a shift-based, multi-region environment.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of Linux systems engineering/administration experience with hands-on responsibility for production Linux estates (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or comparable).
Proven experience with Linux automation using Ansible (playbooks, roles, Automation Platform) and scripting in Bash and Python.
Experience administering Linux on-premises and in AWS/Azure, managing patching cycles, vulnerability remediation, and operating in a formal change management process.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Senior Linux engineer skilled in automation and operational discipline, comfortable owning global-scale Linux estate lifecycle including cloud parity and compliance.
Experienced in multi-platform Linux server environments integrating with enterprise directory services, cloud IAM, and container platforms.
Able to operate effectively in shift-based infrastructure teams supporting global users, providing technical leadership and clear operational documentation.
