Systems Engineer (Linux)- Day Shift

Own end-to-end build, configuration, hardening, patching, and operation of global Linux server estate across physical, virtual, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

Lead automation of provisioning, patching, configuration drift remediation, and application deployment using Ansible and related scripting, enforcing automation engineering discipline.

Manage recurring Linux patching cycles and vulnerability remediation in compliance with security standards, while providing second and third level support, technical leadership, and shift handovers within a global infrastructure team.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum 7 years of hands-on Linux systems engineering/administration experience with production Linux estates.

Advanced expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux or comparable distributions including build, hardening, filesystems, networking, kernel tuning, and performance troubleshooting.

Demonstrated experience with Ansible automation (playbooks, inventories, Automation Platform/AWX), cloud Linux administration (AWS, Azure), patching cycles, vulnerability remediation, Linux integration with AD/LDAP, backup and disaster recovery, scripting (Bash/Python), and shift-based global support.

Experienced Linux engineer capable of independently managing complex heterogeneous Linux environments spanning on-premises and cloud with strict operational controls.

Strong automation engineer with proven ability to develop maintainable Ansible automation in version control and enforce compliance across multi-region estates.

Skilled at coordinating cross-functional teams, managing uptime and security in global shift patterns, and mentoring junior engineers without formal authority.
