Software Design Manager - L2/L3/Cloud

Lead and manage a team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing end-user application software on local, networked, and Internet platforms.

Oversee multiple concurrent software projects including headcount management, deliverables, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with outsourced partners and suppliers.

Drive process improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and provide people management including hiring, performance management, coaching, and career development.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree may be preferred.

Typically 10+ years of related work experience with a minimum of 3 years in people management.

Extensive experience with L2/L3 Edge network protocols (DHCP, PPPoE, L2TP), multiple Layer 2 and 3 protocols, IPv6 enablement, and strong programming skills in C/Python.

Onsite work requirement primarily from an HPE office location.

Strong leadership with demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and outsourced partners effectively.

Experienced in cloud-native deployment technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and network configuration interfaces (OpenConfig, gRPC, gNMI).

Skilled in project management, strategic resource allocation, and driving workforce development across geographies.
