Engineering Manager II - Platform Backend

Lead the Platform Services engineering team responsible for shared infrastructure, internal tools, and core services used by multiple product teams.

Own and evolve distributed systems architecture, platform reliability, and cloud infrastructure cost optimization at enterprise scale.

Manage roadmap planning, delivery, observability practices, incident management, and people management including hiring and mentoring engineers.

10+ years software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in a Software Development Manager or equivalent role.

Expert-level proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js.

3+ years experience managing or contributing to platform teams at enterprise scale.

Strong practical experience with GCP and/or AWS cloud services including provisioning, scaling, IAM, networking, and cost governance.

Hands-on engineering manager comfortable with architecture, coding, debugging, and driving technical standards.

Experienced in distributed systems architecture, observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and cloud cost optimization with measurable impact.

Data-driven decision maker skilled in roadmap planning, cross-functional collaboration, and adopting AI-driven engineering practices.
