MD IDS - Product Delivery - Lead AI Data Engineer

Own and continuously improve critical database logic and stored procedures supporting the eCTS clinical supply platform, ensuring reliability and performance.

Lead the technical execution of migrating legacy databases to a cloud-native, AI-enabled data platform, including schema design, migration strategies, and modernization efforts.

Design and implement governed data products and APIs to enable AI readiness, facilitate data access for AI agents, and uphold compliance in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

6+ years of hands-on database engineering and development experience, including leading database design and delivering migration or modernization projects.

Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) with experience in complex stored procedures and query optimization.

Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure and/or AWS), database security, high availability, backup/recovery, and regulated environments.

Proven ability to lead and independently execute AI-driven and agentic database modernization initiatives in regulated environments.

Deep hands-on experience maintaining and evolving complex legacy database logic rather than only greenfield modernization.

Experience operating in clinical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences domains with knowledge of GxP, validation, and data integrity requirements.

Strong technical leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams and set technical standards for data platform evolution and AI integration.
