Lead database administration and deployment focusing on scalability, security, availability, and performance for Ethoca's SaaS platform.
Design and support 24x7 high-availability database solutions and optimize server/database performance including hardware and software configurations.
Provide technical support, execute database-related problem resolutions, and participate in on-call production support to ensure continuous system availability.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of DB2 or PostgreSQL database administration experience.
2+ years of Snowflake data warehouse administration and development experience.
Experience with cloud PaaS database services, Linux/Unix, Jenkins, and GitLab/GitBucket.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Demonstrated expertise in operating and scaling SaaS platforms, preferably in ecommerce or high-availability environments.
Strong security knowledge including experience with database encryption, masking, certificates, PKI, SSH, VPN in PCI-DSS Level 1 or similar compliance environments.
Experience with cloud database deployment automation using Terraform and familiarity with Azure, AWS, and related cloud database technologies.
