Own and manage U.S. state and local sales and use tax, lodging/hotel tax compliance, and international indirect tax obligations ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare tax workpapers, reconciliations, financial journal entries and support indirect tax compliance across jurisdictions using tools like Oracle and related systems.
Monitor indirect tax legislative changes, collaborate cross-functionally, identify automation opportunities, and support indirect tax projects to improve processes and compliance.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field, or equivalent experience.
Typically 3–5 years of tax experience in corporate tax department or public accounting firm.
Experience in U.S. state/local sales and use tax, lodging/hotel tax compliance or equivalent international indirect tax compliance.
Work location: Bangalore office with minimum 3 days per week in-office (hybrid model).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced with marketplace platform compliance and multi-jurisdictional indirect tax filings including partnership with third-party compliance providers.
Proficient with tax technology tools (Oracle ERP, tax automation tools like AI, Alteryx, Power Automate), large data sets and analytical tools.
Operates effectively in process-driven, compliance-focused environments with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
