Own and maintain backend services and APIs for the HCL Commerce (formerly WebSphere Commerce) platform, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
Integrate the commerce application with various systems including REST Client, Catalogue, Payments, Member modules, and back office systems like ERP, CRM, BI.
Drive technical direction during upgrade to HCL Commerce v9 and support development of Adapter technologies including GraphQL and React adapter layer.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience working with HCL Commerce (WebSphere Commerce) platform including REST Client, Catalogue, Payments, and Member modules.
Proficient in REST API design, caching, refactoring, and modern Object-Oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
Experience with relational databases, SQL query tuning/optimization (Oracle preferred).
Work Experience Required: 8+ years in HCL Commerce development; Location: Bengaluru with hybrid working arrangement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in GraphQL, Apollo Client/Server, and Typescript to work on headless frontend adapter layers.
Familiarity with performance tuning of large-scale web applications and integration with back-office systems.
Technical leader comfortable steering platform upgrades and adopting new foundational cloud technologies.
