Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a small engineering team, setting engineering standards and unblocking delivery issues.
Own technical decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, and supportability; produce implementation-ready designs, MOPs, and operational runbooks.
Minimum Requirements
5–10+ years experience in telecommunications carrier or large enterprise network environments.
Deep L2/L3 networking expertise at CCNP or equivalent level.
Strong Linux proficiency and network testing experience with IXIA or equivalent tools.
Proven scripting skills in Python and Bash; working knowledge of SQL; experience applying automation and AI to improve workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in telecommunications carrier environment, preferably with Telstra or similar scale operations.
Capable of balancing hands-on engineering delivery with team leadership and mentoring.
Demonstrated ability to apply automation and AI-based solutions to complex network engineering problems and operational improvements.
