Lead endpoint, application control, email, and web-edge security platform design, review, and advisory within a UK Critical National Infrastructure client environment.
Own secure configuration baselines, hardening standards, change package design, platform reporting, and risk assessments for security platform modifications.
Lead and quality-review the work of Network and Identity Security Engineers and provide platform expertise to support incident response and SOC operations.
Minimum Requirements
8-12 years in security engineering or operations, including 3+ years in a lead role across endpoint, gateway, and logging platforms.
Degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Vendor certification in at least one enterprise endpoint/XDR or SIEM platform (examples include Palo Alto Cortex, Microsoft SC-200, CrowdStrike, IBM QRadar, Splunk).
Work experience in regulated or Critical National Infrastructure environments preferred but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong domain expertise in EDR/XDR, application allowlisting, email security gateways, web application firewalls, DDoS, DNS protection, and SIEM log onboarding/detection use cases.
Experienced in leading engineering teams and quality-reviewing technical outputs within managed security service contexts for regulated industries or CNI sectors.
Skilled in producing secure configuration baselines, risk-based policy assessments, and documentation supporting incident response and forensic readiness.
