Software Engineer II (Full Stack) - Consumer Intelligence & Engagement

Design and build scalable, low latency backend APIs and event-driven services supporting real-time and batch recommendation use cases.

Collaborate with AI/ML and Data Engineers to deploy machine learning models and expose AI-powered microservices for consumer-facing layers.

Develop frontend applications using React and ensure solutions are secure, reliable, observable, and optimized for performance and operational efficiency.

4+ years of experience designing and building large scale distributed backend systems on cloud-native platforms.

Proficiency in backend engineering with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API design, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns.

Frontend development experience using React framework.

Experience with Redis or equivalent caching, Kafka or similar event streaming platforms, and observability and reliability engineering.

Experienced in building and operating recommendation and personalisation capabilities in eCommerce, retail, or consumer digital products.

Comfortable working closely across AI/ML, data engineering, and software engineering teams to integrate and deploy machine learning models.

Familiar with leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools and coding agents to improve software delivery and developer productivity.
