Lead the technical strategy, modernization, and execution of Allstate’s Database as a Service platform across traditional SQL Server, Oracle, and emerging cloud-native databases.
Drive platform reliability, automation (Infrastructure as Code, APIs), self-service capabilities, and operational excellence metrics to support AI, analytics, and enterprise priorities.
Partner and influence senior technical leaders and cross-functional teams to align database platform investments and vendor partnerships with enterprise needs.
Minimum Requirements
12+ years in database, platform, cloud, or infrastructure engineering with 5+ years leading large-scale enterprise database platforms or modernization initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Deep expertise in SQL Server and/or Oracle database environments supporting business-critical applications, plus experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.
Work Experience Required: 12+ years overall with 5+ years in leadership of enterprise database platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced hands-on technical leader in large, complex enterprises who can drive end-to-end database platform strategy and modernization.
Strong in cross-functional collaboration influencing senior technical leadership, vendor relationships, and enterprise technology roadmaps.
Familiar with AI-enabled data platforms, cloud migrations, DevOps, and building scalable, reliable, secure database services supporting business-critical and emerging AI use cases.
